Sketch Sundays
Sketch Sundays is a friendly weekly urban sketching series across Dunoon, hosted by Debz Wright of Wild Glen Creative Healing. These relaxed outdoor sessions celebrate mark making, observation, and community, while helping you build confidence in perspective, composition, and quick studies.
Drawing boards and basic materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own sketchbook or favourite art supplies if you prefer.
What to Expect
Each week we meet at a chosen Dunoon location and settle into a comfortable spot to sketch the surroundings. Sessions are suitable for complete beginners through to experienced sketchers looking for inspiration, structure, and community.

Dunoon’s weather has a personality of its own, so come prepared.

The 3‑Week Beginner Portrait Class is a gentle, structured introduction to drawing the human head, designed for complete beginners and those returning to art after a long break. Taught by Debz Wright at Wild Glen Creative Healing, this small, supportive course helps you build confidence while learning the foundations of portraiture in a calm, creative space.
Over three weeks, you’ll explore simple techniques for understanding facial structure, proportions, light and shadow, and how to capture expression and likeness. Each session includes demonstrations, guided exercises, and one‑to‑one support to help you develop at your own pace.
