A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Art and Healing
Over the past few years, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery – one that began with something simple: picking up a pencil again after a long hiatus.
Carving out time for art gave me something unexpected – headspace. A chance to slow down, think freely, ask questions, and reconnect with parts of myself I’d long set aside. Through creativity, I began to develop new skills, new insights, and a deeper sense of who I really am.
Since relocating to Dunoon in Scotland in December 2023, my new hometown has continued to open doors. I’ve found community through volunteering, joined supportive groups, and made meaningful new connections. The natural beauty and creative energy here have nurtured my growth in profound ways.
In 2024, my journey led me to complete my Reiki First Degree, earn a Level 3 qualification in Counselling Skills, and become certified as an Art Therapy Coach – all of which felt like natural steps in reclaiming my sense of purpose.
Continuing on this path, I’m proud to share that on April 27th, 2025, I became a Reiki Practitioner with a Second Degree qualification, deepening my ability to support others through energy healing and creative exploration.
Setting an intention
Before beginning a journey, whether it’s a Reiki session, a creative retreat, or a moment of healing, we are invited to set an intention.
An intention acts as a gentle guide. It can be something simple, like focusing on an achievable goal or integrating a new habit into your daily routine. Or it may be something more profound – a desire to shift perspective, release what no longer serves you, or make space for meaningful change.
Whether big or small, your intention helps to align your energy and attention, creating clarity and purpose as you move through your experience.
Take a moment. Breathe.
My Intention
My intention is not to heal people. I don’t believe anyone has the power to do that for another.
Instead, I aim to hold space and guide others toward their own healing, using creativity as the tool.
Through art, nature, and gentle practices like Reiki, we create the opportunity to step away from the daily grind – to unplug from the noise and reconnect with our true, authentic selves.
In that stillness, in that creative space, people often rediscover something they’d forgotten: Their own inner wisdom. Their own ability to heal.
